Burt Dubow, OD, FAAO
Dr. Dubow is a senior partner at Insight Eye Care in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
He obtained his BA from the University of Minnesota and received his doctorate of optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry, graduating with honors. He is board certified as a licensed therapeutic optometrist by the International Association of Board Examiners.
He is a past chair of the Contact Lens and Cornea Section of the American Optometric Association, a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a distinguished fellow of the National Academies of Practice. He is a member of the Minnesota and American Optometric Associations, from whom he has received awards for leadership and service.
Dr. Dubow was founding editor-in-chief of EyeQuest Magazine and has written many articles on contact lenses and patient care internationally, in journals such as the Journal of American Optometric Association, Optometric Management, Optometry Today, 20/20 magazine, Contact Lens Forum and Contact Lens Spectrum. He also has lectured to optometrists, ophthalmologists, pharmacists and staff in the United States and abroad and founded the Optometric Assistant and Technician Program, a training and certification program for optometric staff.
He has participated in many FDA clinical studies of new contact lenses and contact lens care solutions and has been a consultant to most of the major companies in the ophthalmic industry.
Dr. Dubow's community service efforts include past presidencies or chairmanships of Morrison County United Way, the Boy Scouts of America's Scenic District, the Scenic District Eagle Board of Review and Waite Park Lions Club.
